I live in Arizona I use medical MJ responsibly but as most of you know Arizona's medical laws prohibit doctors from prescribing medical Marijuana.
I seek religous sanction and protection to save me from the pains and disabling problems from which I suffer. I cannot afford to pay for my medacine. I have gotten by through most of the years buying small ammounts of medacine that would get me buy but its risky and hard to maintain a consistant supply of medacine with black market prices. I cannot grow the laws are to harsh to add a fellony or to be locked up would litteraly squash my soul and bring me to near death or wishing for death.
If it is true that I can use this wonderful medacine legaly using religion as a base for defense against the laws that currently prohibit my use of this medacine. How do I go about doing this? I cant afford to pay for the sanctuary kits that ive seen. Is there a way that I can identify my self as a religous grower and user of canabis that the law will recognize that is free?
1. We do not believe marijuana qualifies as a "medicine". A medicine is made to controlled specification of ingredients, and man is not yet able to control those proportions of ingredients involved anymore than they can control the makeup of any other plant to the point they could be considered medicines. We believe marijuana is the lost "Tree of life" anciently known as Soma in Sanskrit and Haoma in the Avestan which is commonly referred to as the averter of death. The Avesta declares it's properties, and amongst the many, "Healing" is one that it is invoked. For this reason we refer to marijuana as a healing herb we hold a religious belief will work as needed when healing is our need.
2. You have a right to use herbs, prayer, or laying on of hands, in healing with out the license normally required to practice medicine, if it is done as part of a "religious practice"/"mode of worship".
3. Joining the Church Of Cognizance is Free. While we do offer a preprinted kit for $20.00 that includes the first years dues of $5.00 for up to two people, laminated plant tags, laminated member card, laminated Certificate of Ordination as an IOMM of the Church of Cognizance, revised copy of the marijuana hymn from the avesta, and much more. OR you can down load everything in the Kit for FREE at http://coc.enlightener.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=viewnews&id=10
The online form to submit a registation does work and is free to submit.
The $5.00 a year dues are optional and only required if you would like to be considered a "Dues Paying member" with a right to vote on issues effecting the Church Of Cognizance. Of course they are useful to the expansion of information and services provided through the use of those funds.
Hope this helps and we look forward to helping you in any way possible.
You got it with the needs of healing ;-)And Marijuana grants us that blessing when invoked!
There is a registered IOMM of the Church of Cognizance in the Kingman area, and possibly around Page also, however due to the secret governments war against us we are not at liberty to reveal any further information regarding the whereabouts of our members, that is an issue we leave to each one if they wish to be public. Also, it is not required to register to declare yourself a member, we have many in that status that joined before we had formal registration. The registration just shows the church has members that are organized for the purposes of practicing and spreading the precepts of our "Good Religion".
If you would like to feel more of a force in your area you could talk with your friends about also becoming member monasteries then organize to locate a meeting place and when you feel more comfortable advertise your meetings in the church section of area churches in your area. We have a link on one of our local ISP's local information page at http://eaznet.com/local.html under the CHURCHES listing. There is power in numbers, and more power in not being intimidated in regards to your right to freely worship in your selected "mode of worship". Let me know if there is anything we can do from here to help, and we look forward to hearing of a viable "Cultural Information Center" in Northern Arizona. Also don't neglect to check out our Hawaii CIC at http://haoma.info and Enlightened Cogniscenti, Reverend Daniel Jeffery can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org for another view of what the COC is.
Peace be with you and much success in organizing in your area.
